Welcome to

It’s a pleasure, on
behalf of the faculty and staff, to welcome you to
Geneva Kent
Elementary is a K-5 school located off Norway Avenue in Huntington, West
Virginia.
We have 280
students and are in a friendly, child-oriented community. Though
not a Title 1 school, we provide a variety of
services and activities to our students. These include such things as an active
Student Council, Jump Rope teams, a Russian Club, a SADD club, after school
tutoring, modern library with a computer lab, and an excellent Response To
Intervention program. We are also proud of the fact that we are a Professional
Development School in partnership with Marshall University, and are in the
process of becoming a 21st Century Model School.
A look at our No
Child Left Behind data reveals that nearly 90% of our 3rd, 4th,
and
5th
grade students last year scored at Mastery or above in the Language Arts
section
of the
WESTEST. We are very proud of that
accomplishment.
Feel free to
explore our web site. We hope you will
find the information here helpful and it will give you a glimpse into the
wonderful learning environment at our school.
